The web is ablaze with the news about facebook's new messaging system but did you hear the news that could seriously intertwine facebook with business? Clearly, social platforms are continuing to blur the distinction between purely social and purely business. Facebook's new messaging service continues the trend that social media (social networking, social interaction) is about more than mere play and for businesses, it's about much more than advertising. Social has always been, first and foremost, about connecting and communicating with people on their terms. Some people prefer Twitter, some facebook, some LinkedIn and some still prefer phone over email but the bottom line is that businesses must adapt to every option if they want to provide their services to as many qualified clients as possible.
